This book reviews the critical Health care sector in the country and the gamut of critical issues under four major sub-sectors like introduction, concerns, initiatives, case studies, and perspectives. Introduction envelopes eight chapters. Chapter 1and 2 covers the Dimensions of Health Care issues in India and problems hindering the growth of the sector respectively. Gandhi’s views on health and his initiatives in Rural Health for the poor are in chapters 4 and 5 while sustainable development goals by 2030 and health problems are studied in chapters 6 and 7. A global problem is studied in Chapter 8 on coping mechanisms for those affected by HIV & AIDs. Concerns and initiatives take into 11 chapters. These include the complex health issues in various states; the low-cost ITC model; Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan and preventive healthcare mechanisms.In the Case Studies section, 12 chapters are included. Case studies prepared by the SPJIMR Management students; various innovative CSR & Corporate Initiatives in the country and NGO innovations for health care needs are deliberated. The remaining few chapters are confined to various case studies conducted in different states. Perspectives cover 6 chapters. These are concentrated in India’s Health Policy and Overdue Reforms; Health Insurance Initiatives, Affordable Health Care and Artificial Insemination; Health Reforms due to Global Pandemic (1918-2021), Road-Map for the future, use of Technology e.t.c.
