All I Was & All I Will Be is an attempt to honour the past without being confined by it, and to grow into the future unafraid of becoming someone I have not yet been. Because becoming isn’t about losing yourself- rather it’s about realising that the after version of “us” is still “us”, just with a slightly less overthinking brain and a little more at peace with who we’ve once been For everyone who remembers who they once were and longs to meet themselves again— this book is for you And if my words make you feel seen, understood or a little less alone than before, then they have already found their purpose

This is such a beautifully written and heartfelt book. I love how each story gently flows into a poem, it feels like you’re first living a moment and then pausing to reflect on it. The stories are about life but they stay with you for a long time after you finish reading them. Each story feels like something you know. The way it is written is soft and honest. It feels real. Reading this book felt a bit like revisiting my own memories. Moments I hadn’t thought about in a while, emotions I didn’t quite know how to put into words. The poems that follow each story capture those feelings so beautifully, almost like they’re saying what my heart couldn’t. It’s a deeply relatable and moving read, and one that I think many people will find pieces of themselves in.

I loved the structure of the book—alternating between prose narratives and poetic reflections— it adds a unique rhythm to the reading experience. Stories such as A Promise Rooted in Our Past, Through the Misted Glass, and The Girl by the Windowsill beautifully explore themes of ambition, resilience, and human connection. Meanwhile, poems like Circles of Light, All That Lies Above, and A Season’s Solace echo the same themes through imagery and emotion, reinforcing the reflective tone of the book. The author writes about life’s transitions- about growing up, facing disappointments, losing and finding oneself, and learning to accept change. Rather than offering dramatic conclusions, it is about the continuous process of becoming. This makes it feel authentic and comforting, especially for readers navigating their own uncertainties.

All I Was & All I Will Be is a reflective and relatable collection that explores the quiet landscapes of memory, growth, love, and self-discovery. Through a blend of prose and poetry, the Author has portrayed a personal yet universally relatable narrative about becoming—about the versions of ourselves we once were, the person we are today, and the individual we are still learning to be. The writings feels honest, as though the author is speaking directly to the reader in a moment of quiet reflection. Many stories capture small but powerful moments of life—childhood memories, the comfort of grandparents, fleeting encounters with strangers, or the silent conversations we have with ourselves under the night sky. These moments, though simple, carry emotional depth and invite readers to pause and reflect on their own experiences.
