U.G.C. introduced National Education Policy 2020. This policy proposed a fundamental change in the education system. We feel immense pleasure in presenting this book under NEP-2020 for B.Sc. III-Year students. Efforts are made to make the language of the book simple, fluent, lucid, and rather comprehensive. The book has the following salient features: 1. The book has been written according to the common minimum syllabus for all universities and colleges (NEP-2020) 2The complete syllabus is given unit-wise. 3All units are described in detail and after each article, some simple and important numerical examples are given based upon it, so that the students may understand the concept well. 4 At the end of each unit miscellaneous problems are given based on different articles of the unit according to the university exam paper pattern. This textbook comprehensively covers two papers, classical mechanics and statistical mechanics. We divide this book into two parts. PART -A on Classical mechanics.
