"I just finished reading 'Dard Ki Lakir' on Google Play Books, and I'm still reeling from the experience. This powerful and emotional memoir chronicles the author's parents' extraordinary journey through war, civil war, and desperation, showcasing the human spirit's incredible resilience in the face of unimaginable hardship and adversity. The author's writing is exquisite, weaving together the different plot threads with masterful skill, creating a narrative that's both compelling and thought-provoking. The characters are well-developed and relatable, making it easy to become fully invested in their story. I highly recommend 'Dard Ki Lakir' to anyone who loves a good memoir or literary fiction. It's a must-read that showcases the power of storytelling to connect us all, and I have no doubt that it will leave a lasting impact on your heart and mind. 5/5 stars, without a doubt!"

This book isn’t just a story, it’s a promise, a heartfelt connection between a daughter and her dad. While reading it, I could picture the main character so clearly. He’s the focus, but what really stood out to me was the quiet strength behind him, his family. With their love and support, I could see who is narrating the story: his universe "Rose". The book follows his journey from a young boy to a grown man. He holds so much inside, feelings he doesn’t always know how to show, but you can tell he wants to. And like the saying goes, “wait for the right time,” this book becomes that moment. It’s the perfect time for his daughter to keep the promise she made to him. As I read, I noticed how much, as a father, he hid his emotions, the worry in his eyes, the long walks for food, the sleepless nights so his family could rest. But the author saw the weight he carried, and through her pen, she gave it meaning. His journey as a father shaped a woman with a voice, a voice that proves every one of his hardships was worth it. For readers in this Gen Z world, this book can be a reminder of how much our parents do for us, often without saying a word. You’ll realize how deep a father’s love can go , not through big words, but through the little things they do every day.
