The Bhagavad Gita is a Vedantic philosophy written to guide human beings in transforming their individual consciousness into all-pervading Pure Consciousness through righteous action at the physical, mental, and spiritual levels. It is the essence in which the wisdom of all scriptures, Vedanta, human behaviour, psychology, yogic practices, life, consciousness, and the laws of karma are deeply contained. It is also a science that explains, both philosophically and logically, the way to connect oneself with Divine Consciousness—the all-pervading Pure Consciousness. The Bhagavad Gita is not merely a dialogue between Arjuna and Krishna during the war between the Pandavas and the Kauravas in the Dvapara Yuga. Rather, it conveys the profound message that we must recognize the reflection of Arjuna within ourselves and the reflection of Krishna within ourselves, and thereby learn to fight the Mahabharata of our own life.
