Immigrant doctors make up about 25% of the medical workforce in the U.S., and while their success is well-known, the personal stories behind their journeys remain largely untold. These physicians faced numerous challenges and barriers on their path to success. I, myself, migrated to the U.S. from India 31 years ago, driven by the desire to advance my medical career. Armed with nothing but a dream to succeed, I encountered many other doctors with similar backgrounds—each arriving with little more than the ambition to chase the "American Dream." This book brings together the stories of doctors who left their homelands to seek opportunity in the U.S., highlighting their struggles, perseverance, and triumphs.
