Main Aaine Bechta Hoon is my first published book, presented to readers as a collection of ghazals. The couplets in this collection do not merely reflect society and individuals as they are; they also bring to light those faces that we often choose to overlook, even when we see them. A mirror never lies; it reflects things exactly as they are. This book, too, is like a mirror in which readers can see themselves and the society around them. It is not written as a form of preaching, but rather as an expression of the experiences I have observed, felt, and deeply lived. I have tried to keep the language of the ghazals simple and accessible so that their emotions can reach the hearts of readers directly. My endeavour is that readers do not merely read the words of these ghazals, but connect with them and feel the emotions hidden within them.
