What is variety? It is the multi-faceted nature of Creation. Variety inspires, allows us to develop to our full potential, often encouraging us to develop to our full capacity. It encourages us to expose the inherent rare, unique features that separate us as individuals. Variety is a wonder, a miracle of God's functioning or His elaborateness of the Universe as constructed. A single person is apart, afar from the multiple. We have to take the plunge to evolve and make a difference. This process is a learning experience. Sometimes we are swallowed by the abyss, and we forget what God really meant was that we trek, one that ends in Divine consummation. The thought to hasten to the Abode of God to derive lasting peace, eternity and eternal bliss arises as and when God wills it. Some of the poems relate to the exquisite charm of variety, while the others are a desperate bid to hurry, hurry before it is too late to make it to the secure shore where alone happiness cannot evade or escape us. Happiness, it is to be noted, is union with God, as stated by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Towards that dictum, rather decree, these poems lean.
