Words, after Words, after Words: Poetry, Prose and Provocation is a young adult’s intimate expression of the incessant and vitally important need to write and her deeply personal ode to the power of words. Chronicling moments of significance, but more so those that are deemed insignificant, it is a journal for writing of all kinds—good and bad, raw or refined, each piece a part of its identity and that of the author. Speaking of the poems in the book, Shreeya says “these are voices that rebel, react, rebirth, and revive themselves in words, a compilation of living beings. They are stories that have grown with time, fermented and changed colour—they have transformed and been translated into new tongues, taken new titles and torn across novel experiences in a torturous but transfixing process”.
